G Board Review
A regularly scheduled weekly class is mandatory for ABPS and ABPOPPM boards. The resident will be given comprehensive didactic instruction. Included will be mock oral examinations by DABPS and DABPOPM podiatric surgeons.

H. Research
A new research project is begun every year. The hospital facilities enable the resident to have access to the necessary research materials. Outside institutions have been cooperative in assisting the residents in the project. Prestigious institutions such as the University of Michigan and Michigan State University have gladly participated.

I. Special Programs

1. Baja Project for Crippled Children

2. Podiatric Research and Clinical Care Presentation.

3. Basic and advanced A.O. fixation course.

4. ACFAS Advanced Rearfoot/Ankle Course, Arthoscopy, and Traumatology Courses.

The Botsford Podiatric Residency Training Program offers a one year fellowship in Diabetic limb Salvage/Preventative Care. Rotations in PVD, P.V. Lab, Endocrinology, Diabetology, Nephrology, Diabetic Nutrition, Infectious Disease, Vascular Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery, Clinics and Wound Care Clinic. Also, High Risk Diabetic Care, Amputee and Prosthetic Clinics, Pedothotics, Biomechanics and Clinic Research.

5. ACFAS-ACFAOM national meeting-with participation in poster exhibits.

6. Lecturing at local and state seminars

7. Evidenced-Based Medicine course.
