V. Selection Process of Emergency Medicine Residents

A. All applicants must have completed an approved AOA internship. All applicants must be members in good standing with the AOA.

B. Applicants will submit their applications to the Department of Medical Education at Botsford General Hospital. Interviews will be granted to those individuals who have the qualities that the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks. Based on the interview, letters of recommendation and other merits of the applicant, residents will be chosen by a committee composed of members of the Department of Emergency Medicine. Applications received after the deadline period will not be reviewed and those candidates will not be considered as having applied to the program.

Interviews for Internship positions beginning July 2007, will be held November 4, 5, and 6, 2006.
