Approximately
12 months of training will take place at a tertiary care institution.
The main tertiary affiliations are with Providence Medical Center,
William Beaumont Medical Center and St. John's Medical center.
Providence
Medical Center: Mark Rasak, D.O., Trainer
Botsford
General Hospital has an affiliation agreement with Providence
Medical Center which includes oversight by Dr. Mark Rasak who is
Assistant
Program Director, Cardiovascular Disease Residency Program. Providence
Medical Center rotations include cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac
catheterization and cardiac interventional cardiology.
St.
John's Medical Center:
Botsford
General Hospital has a longstanding relationship with St. John's
Medical Center primarily in services of cardiac electrophysiology,
interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Luis Pires
is the primary trainer at the institution and is head of cardiac
electrophysiology.
William
Beaumont Hospital:
Dr.
William O'Neill, Chief of Cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital
has a longstanding relationship with Botsford General Hospital cardiology
fellowship program. Cardiac fellows primarily rotate in invasive
and interventional cardiology, echocardiography and electrophysiology
at this institution.
