Mission Statement:

The mission of the residency program at Botsford General Hospital is to provide the resident with surgical experience and develop proficiency in operative and nonoperative orthopedics. The goal is to prepare the resident to be able to practice orthopedic surgery at the end of the residency and to be prepared for the certification examination by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

The residency will function in accordance with the rules and regulations of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. The American Osteopathic Association, Botsford General Hospital, and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

The resident will participate in the COGMET program at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
